Yi Wang is from Anhui Province, China and is currently studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She will receive a master's degree in jewelry design this summer. As an interprofessional student, her academic background includes taxation, cross-cultural communication and education, psychology and human development.

“I love rounded and full shapes, and especially enjoy adding some mini designs to this look. I
often get inspiration from words and music. For example, the concept of this MA final
project started with a song Bye Bye (Mariah Carey). I particularly partial to the material
combination of metal and wool felt & resin, and pay attention to the use of color in jewelry. I
believe that the birth of an idea and how it transfer to the design language are all shaped by
the designer’s past personal experiences.Those jewels that she put her heart and soul into will
eventually become the base station for her dialogue with the world, recording her thoughts
and life trajectory.”
